I TRAC Forum: Security and International Development in an Uncertain World

The I TRAC Forum took place from August 23 to 25, 2017 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) and marked a significant milestone by bringing together distinguished figures in the fields of International Relations and International Security. Under the theme "Security and International Development in an Uncertain World," this event not only served as the first TRAC conference but also celebrated a decade of the postgraduate program in International Relations at PUC Minas.

An essential commitment at the core of all TRAC-organized events is to foster dialogue among diverse stakeholders, bridging society, practitioners, and academia within both the Brazilian and international contexts.

The forum gathered researchers from around the world and renowned speakers, including Martha Crenshaw from Stanford University, Gary Lafree from the University of Maryland, Bradley McAllister from the National War College, Celina Realuyo from the National Defense University, Xing Li from Aalborg University, Fredy Rivera from FLACSO - Ecuador, among others. They were warmly welcomed by the hosts and co-founders of TRAC, Dr Rashmi Singh and Dr Jorge Lasmar.

The I TRAC Forum was a vivid testament to TRAC's ongoing dedication to encourage discussions and deeper understanding of critical international issues within an intricate and unpredictable world. As TRAC perseveres in its unwavering commitment, we can anticipate further transformative and collaborative events that will continue to shape the landscape of International Relations.
